Toronto East CAER
"Community Awareness and Emergency Response" or CAER is a commitment by the Canadian Chemical Producers' Association  (CCPA), its members, partner companies and each of their employees to making the entire chemical cycle life safer.

CAER requires each member company to have ongoing processes to identify and respond to community concerns, inform the community of risks associated with company operations, and have its own emergency plan integrated with the community's emergency response plan.

The Toronto East CAER Association was formed in 1988. Its membership includes chemical manufacturing companies, local government agencies such as Fire, Police, Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment and Emergency Services that have operations in the east part of Toronto.

This site has been developed to keep the public and other interested parties informed of the ongoing activities of the Toronto East CAER group. It is also intended to assist other member companies in developing plans in their assigned communities.
